Staff Spotlight: Amanda Kramer

Every month we like to introduce one of our staff members so you can get to know them better. This month, our Marketing Associate Amanda tells us about her first job at Starbucks as a teenager and her dreams of a Greece vacation (and shouts out a certain Biggs team member /slash/ local gym owner whose name rhymes with Banzellotti).

You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase?

Vacation home! After being cooped up in our house for the past few months the idea of being able to run away to somewhere sunny and tropical sounds amazing. That or a trip to Greece, which is on my bucket list and has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.

Share one thing you love to do that you always strive to include in your daily routine.

Going to the gym in the morning. Mornings are my absolute favorite, going to the gym and starting out my day healthy sets the tone for the rest of a productive day. If you’re looking for a great gym you should definitely check out 3SIX0 Fitness in Salmon Creek (you’re welcome Dave).

What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?

I love hiking, paddle boarding, watching my son Landon play basketball. In the spirit of honesty I can’t leave out shopping… I also happen to be really good at it! 😊

Tell us about one of your most memorable experiences.

Becoming a mom. It is life-changing in every aspect. Having kids is the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done. 💗

What is your favorite Biggs story?

Do I have to pick just one!? We have a lot of fun at Biggs… I guess I would say our Christmas parties. You never know what’s going to happen, but one thing is for sure, shenanigans will always occur at some point! They are always very memorable.

Is your favorite season spring, summer, winter, or fall – and why?

Summer (I think). I love the adventures that happen in summer. Something about the sun hitting your face, kids playing outside, less responsibilities… it’s freeing. The combination of Fall / Winter is a close second. Once Halloween gets here it feels like it kickstarts the holiday season, which I just can’t get enough of. It’s cheesy but it just feels a little magical during that time.

What was your first job?

Starbucks! I started working there when I was 16. Great company to work for while going to college. We also had some pretty epic whipped cream fights afterhours!

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Some kind of speed / flying superpower would be amazing. I HATE flying but LOVE to travel. If I could somehow remove ever getting an airplane again and still get to take my trip to Greece it would be Heaven on earth!

What does success look like to you?

Happiness. No question about it.
