Staff Spotlight: Julia Briscoe
Every month, we like to introduce you to one of our incredible staff. This month, Assistant Account Manager, Julia Briscoe has great perspective on appreciating the seasonal diversity of the Pacific Northwest.
You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase? My first purchase would be a home! With a giant kitchen and family area for my girls and I to do all of our cooking and hanging out.
Share one thing you love to do that you always strive to include in your daily routine.
I am a giver, and I love to feel that everyone in my home has been cared for.
What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?
The outdoors call my name! In the summer you will always find my girls and I at a lake or a river, playing in the water, kayaking, hiking around the latest trail we found. Winters we love to go skiing and sledding, it doesn’t happen as much as we would like though!
Tell us about one of your most memorable experiences
Hmmmm….I always think back to life lessons learned…..those big “AHA” moments where when you know better, you do better.
What is your favorite Biggs story?
I am brand spakin’ new to Biggs, but have already been treated to some fun times…..our Christmas party just a few weeks ago was a memorable one!
Is your favorite season spring, summer, winter, or fall – and why?
As a native of southern California, moving to the PNW, I look forward to and appreciate each and every season. When summer comes, I am so happy to have the warmth of the sun and the late sunshine days, and then when the weather changes and the leaves start turning colors, I am so happy to start cooking soups and settling in, and then when winter comes with the holiday season, with all the smells and excitement, I am so happy. And then the spring! Oh my goodness, there truly is no place more beautiful than the PNW when cherry blossom trees bloom and all is alive! See?! I am an equal opportunist with my seasons!
What does success look like to you?
Success to me is defined by inner fulfillment. Success to me is never defined by dollars.
What was your first job?
My very first job was at 15 ½ – I started out in a retail clothing store and by the time I was 16 I was promoted to manager with my own key to the store!
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I definitely need those mom arms from The Incredibles.
What’s one challenge you’ve faced in life that you’re proud to have overcome?
HA! All of them! Life has most definitely thrown me quite a few curveballs and I am proud to be able to take them on and move forward regardless.
