Staff Spotlight: Nolan Biggs

Every month we like to introduce one of our staff members so you can get to know them better. The first spotlight of 2021 features Nolan, our Personal Lines Agent, who told us about a memorable skydiving adventure, the excitement brought by a new Netflix series, and being a member of Biggs’ (literal!) family for twenty-five years.

You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase?

My first purchase if I won the lottery would probably be a house, but the house would have to be somewhere warm and near a lake. Preferably Lake Chelan, spent a lot of summers there growing up.

Share one thing you love to do that you always strive to include in your daily routine.

Since March I have found my daily routine changing a bit. I am now catching myself getting pretty excited when a new Netflix Original Series comes out.

What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?

I don’t know if I really have a favorite hobby, but right now I am hoping to spend a lot of time at Timberline.

Tell us about one of your most memorable experiences.

July of 2019, I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane to celebrate my brother’s 18th birthday. My mom was not too excited but truly one of the best things I have done. I highly recommend trying it if you are looking for a fun thrill!

What is your favorite Biggs story?

I have been a part of the Biggs family for 25 years now but only 6 months as an employee. So I have plenty of stories but a couple of my favorites would have to be coming to the Christmas party every year and seeing a past Biggs employee, Jamie. She would give my siblings and I candy every time we came to say hi to her.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

I would have to go with teleportation, being able to be anywhere in the world in just a blink of an eye seems cool to me. This came from the movie Jumper, if you haven’t seen it give it a shot!

What was your first job?

My first job was back in 2014 right after I graduated high school as a camp counselor for Skyhawks Sports Academy. The job taught me a lot about patience when working with kids anywhere from 8 to 12 years old.
