Every month we like to introduce one of our staff members so you can get to know them better. This month we spoke to Amber, an Account Manager in Personal Lines – she told us about her time in the Girl Scouts, the final straw that made her leave her first job at Wendy’s, and her deserved pride over passing the Agent Licensing exam on the first try!

You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase?

  • I would buy my parents a house and set them up for retirement ASAP!

Share one thing you love to do that you always strive to include in your daily routine.

I love to start my day with a cup of coffee, it’s a must on Mondays!

What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?

My favorite activities are just spending time with my family. Hobbies include thrift store shopping, repainting old furniture, and doing home projects.

Tell us about one of your most memorable experiences.

My most memorable experience was being a Girl Scout. Not only did I win prizes every year for selling cookies, I learned how to work well with others, how to be involved in my community, and how to survive in the woods!

What is your favorite Biggs story?

I don’t really have a story. My favorite thing about Biggs is that it feels like a family, not just a job, and that is very important to me.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?

Coffee of course!

Is your favorite season spring, summer, winter, or fall – and why?

Summer; I love the long, sunny days.

What does success look like to you?

I most likely have some sort of DIY project going at home, usually many at once – when I have completed one thing from start to finish, that’s success!

What was your first job?

My first job was at Wendy’s. My manager made me clean the bathroom floor with a toothbrush and I never quit until they made me cut onions!

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

The power to heal people.

What’s one challenge you’ve faced in life that you’re proud to have overcome?

One big challenge for me is taking tests, so when I passed the Agent Licensing exam on the first try, I was pretty proud of myself.
