Every month we highlight one of our dedicated staff members at Biggs. This month, enjoy fun facts about our lovely and joyful Executive Assistant, Zoe Hovland.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without
A: A jar of peanut butter. Practical in terms of rescue? Maybe not. Delicious and full of protein? Definitely.
Q: You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase?
A: A bunch of first-class plane tickets to Venice which I’d share among my close friends and family, along with reservations at the swankiest hotel. I visited a few years ago and instantly fell in love with the city; I’ve been dying to go back ever since.
Q: What is your favorite Biggs story?
A: I’m a pianist, and also a huge sap for all things Christmas-related, so a couple Decembers ago I brought in my keyboard and played carols over the intercom. A number of my coworkers told me how much they enjoyed it, as did several clients who happened to be visiting the office that day; it made me feel terribly jolly! Christmases at Biggs have made up many of my favorite moments here – we get oodles of thoughtful cards and tasty treats, and a little contingent of employees always picks out a tree for the lobby. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year (though Halloween’s a close contender).
Q: What is one of your guilty pleasures?
A: Right now, it’s Pokemon Go. (Don’t judge me.) (Or do, I guess, but realize that by calling it a guilty pleasure I’m at least displaying the proper amount of chagrin about it.) (…Team Valor for life!)
Q: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
A: This is the easiest question on earth – I’d want morphing powers, a la Mystique of the X-Men, or Beast Boy of the Teen Titans! It’s pretty much an all-encompassing power; it allows you to fly, to breathe underwater, to disguise yourself… and no significant drawbacks. So yeah, sign me up.
